Do you have any questions about the rucksack? Then you are sure to find the answers on this page. Here you will find all the information you need to know about the ONE. From how to pack correctly, to spare parts, to useful tips. However, should you have a question that is not answered here, simply send me an e-mail.

Why ONE

Before today's trekking rucksacks, heavy equipment was transported using back frames with a shelf. In time, however, these were too heavy compared to the ever lighter inner frame rucksacks. The ONE combines the advantages of these old back frames and the low weight of today's inner frame rucksacks. It uses the available tent poles in order to give the support frame the necessary stability and nevertheless to keep the weight at the level of the most lightweight trekking rucksacks. It is the only 100% watertight and, at the same time, unrestrictedly practice-suitable trekking rucksack on the market. That means, never again wet equipment and nevertheless clearer and simpler packing than ever before. It combines, like no other rucksack, the interests of cyclists, kayakers, trekking enthusiasts and climbers. Why not take advantage of the many new possibilities offered to you by the ONE. It combines high-quality components with innovative design thought through into the smallest detail and thus ensures an untroubled nature and travel experience. The ONE is not a compromise, like many other rucksacks, but rather is designed for long durability and rough use. It has now proved itself on over 3,000 kilometres in wild landscapes. The belt system is quickly understood and is part of the flexibility that the ONE offers. In short: you will love the ONE and it will be a loyal companion for you in many unforgettable undertakings.

Convince yourself!

Pack your ONE

Proviant, cooker, dishes

1. Dry bag below
Sleeping bag, clothing, electronics, possibly proviant

2. Dry bag below
Tent, rain clothing, sleeping pad, possibly proviant

The sleeping pad can also be strapped on centrally above the two lower packsacks. Solar cells can be attached between the packsacks, well protected. For small items, two magazine pouches are recommended for the hip belt. The packsacks should be packed in such a way that heavy supplies (proviant) is found close to the body and near the top of it, in order to bring the centre of gravity as close as possible to the spine. Only in very hard terrain is it appropriate to bring the centre of gravity down lower. I personally prefer to use sticks and to leave the centre of gravity up high. It is not as tiring and the body adjusts to it after a short time. However, the two lower packsacks should always be completely filled before the third one is packed.

User guide >>

Today, it is no longer an art to remain under 10 kilos with one's equipment. Some people even manage 5 kilos (without proviant). However, that can quickly turn into a battle for survival. It is not just about the weight, but rather also about the reliability of the equipment and the mental support that good equipment offers you while you are on the road away from civilisation. To me, the "graft" is part of the nature experience and makes trekking much more intensive in my opinion. There are of course limits; at 25 kilos and over, the fun stops. However, I think nothing of and am against so-called expeditions in which proviant is distributed with aeroplanes or helicopters just to be able to claim sometime that one has walked around the world. The normal central European can live (not survive) for just two weeks in the countryside without external aid and should accept this.

ONE - Tips

Dry bags
You can use the packsacks as: a "washing machine", a water bag, a pillow, a wind shield, a "chair", a foodstore, a throw bag, a tent peg in the event of a sandy ground and snow, hand baggage (aeroplane), a shopping bag

Daypack
Do you want to undertake a day trip? Then strap just one packsack onto the pack frame and leave the rest at base camp or at the hostel. Or simply go on a weekend trip with this combination. If you require more than 22l, you can buy a larger packsack.

Winter rucksack
Do you need more space for a winter trip? Then simply purchase a fourth packsack and strap it onto the pack frame as well.

Tent apsis
Use the space of this tent apsis for cooking when it is not nice outside, with your equipment well protected in the packsacks in front of the tent and not taking up any space inside.

Airplane
Turn the hip belt around and close it around the packsacks. In this way, it does not protrude and cannot be damaged. Further, you can use one packsack hand baggage and you can hand in the other two with the pack frame as normal baggage.

Hip belt
Heat up, closed, at 110°C, in a preheated circulating air oven on a piece of rock wool for 9-10 min. Look out for hot iron parts. Then quickly fit the hip belt onto the rucksack and put it on, packed (approximately 10kg). The hip belt then looks like your hip and remains that way!!! Both open and closed.
Without guarantee!! You can also go the Osprey dealer and have it done in the Osprey oven.
